Custom Optics

Windows

Windows are used to isolate different physical environments while allowing light to pass. SLOC offers a wide range of different materials and different degree of precision windows. SLOC provides varieties of single layer or multilayer anti-reflecting coating on optical windows.

Lenses

Lenses have many applications ranging from the simple collection of the scanning of laser beams to precise imaging and image transfer. Lenses are classified as single lenses, cylindrical lenses and achromatic lenses according to the different applications.

Prisms

Prisms are blocks of optical material with flat polished sides arranged at precisely controlled angles to each other, which deflect, deviate and rotate beams of light as well as dispersing their wavelengths.
SLOC has developed the ability to fabricate with high precision Penta Prism (up to 1" at 90° deviation) and Beamsplitter Penta Prisms. A large production line for Penta Prism has been established with capability of producing more than 100,000 pieces per month.

Beamsplitters

Beamsplitters are used to split or combine beam of light. The most common types provided by SLOC are plate and cubes. Plates are used for most laser applications as they exhibit low absorption. Cubes are a convenient, protected form for low power applications. The performance of beamsplitters is mainly depended on the coating specifications.

Filters

Optics filter selection depends on a multitude of factors including wavelength selection, shape and width of passband, blocking outside the passband, transmittance color matching and long-term stability. Filters are used for many applications in the field of microscopy, photometry, radiometry, imaging, instrumentation, display, CCD, astronomy, aerospace etc. The filters are available at present:

Waveplates

With the experience on orientating and fabricating high quality nonlinear optical crystals, SLOC assures that the orientation of the crystalline axis precisely maintained from first cut through final assembly. SLOC has set up a computerized system to produce more than 20,000 pieces of lower order and zero order waveplates per month. SLOC has a strong R&D team on the waveplate project to provide any technical support as needed.

SLOC's quality control and assurance department sets a series of complete standards for the optical components. Every product is strictly inspected to meet our standards or the specifications required by customers before it leaves SLOC. Inspection reports and pictures are available upon request.
